An open letter of concern to Olde Town Conyers and The Rockdale County Judicial Circuit

Instead of Attorney Paul Oeland asking me “Well April what are we supposed to tell Nancy?” Me a family violence victim just out of the hospital.

How about tell the head of the Rockdale Aware, The Rockdale County Task Force Against Family Violence is lead by State Judge Nancy Bills of Conyers, Georgia.

That I was a  victim of family violence that was reported properly to The Rockdale County Sheriff’s Department by Northside Hospital Emergency Room staff and Peachford Hospital. My being a family violence victim receiving treatment and care for recovery from battery by Mr. Sasser.

Or how about tell her that her prepared proposed Opinion being Mr. Sasser’s attorney that I retain custody of our youngest daughter and for him not to interfere in the relationship of me with my older 3 adopted step daughter’s should have still stood and rang true as nothing had changed since her prepared proposed Opinion.

Or how about tell her that there had never been the question, hint, suggestion, implication nor accusation as to any wrong doing on my behalf as a mother nor as a wife even to this day 20 plus years later after meeting Mr. Sasser and raising 5 children and being in attendance at over a dozen hearings and speaking with many therapists and Judges pertaining to my girls.

Or how about these facts of The State of Georgia Mr. Paul Oeland :

I want this state of GA to know that there have been 1000+ Georgia Certified Peer Specialists Since October 2001.

And the requirements include:

> Candidates must have diagnosis of mental illness or a dual diagnosis of mental illness and addictive disease and must desire to identify themselves as a person with mental illness current or former consumer of mental health services.

> Applicants must hold a high school diploma or GED and may be requested to provide a copy of this document.

> Must demonstrate strong reading comprehension and written communication skills as indicated on their responses on the pre – test which is part of the application.

> Must have demonstrated experience with leadership, advocacy or governance.

> Must be well grounded in recovery

These facts are taken directly from the Certified Peer Specialist brochure.

The motto of the CPS being “Each One Reach One.”

The next testing for CPS Certified Peer Specialist will be in March of 2015. That is when I will be applying per the essay exam for the State of GA. Currently working under The GA Department of Human Resources in the health field with the physically and mentally challenged along with the elderly.

Honorable Bills was aware that I was the care giver of a Codependent relationship to Mr. Sasser as she included my therapy in her prepared proposed Opinion to Honorable Nation just weeks prior to the battery issue where I was attached emotionally, mentally, physically and my daughter was thrown into the back of the car driving off with her grandfather screaming for me. My father in law.

Being hidden and kept from me.

How about how in 2008 The Rockdale County Sheriff’s Department, The Northside Staff, The Dekalb Community Service Board and its doctors and attorney would all accompany me to court on my behalf making a personal appearance in Honorable Nation courtroom.

Or how about the fact of how my girls had already lost one mother due to her authenticated documented abuse per this State of GA and that the District Attorney’s Office is fully aware of that I plan to include in my newest booklet to be out by Spring. And that you would be ruining their chance at an education because Mr. Sasser would allow them with consent as teenagers to quit their education. Giving way to arrests and continuous birth of children with no formal education in place still ten years later.

I suppose I should not put all the weight on Attorney Paul Oeland but as well Attorney Michael Waldrop and Attorney Michael Waters as no one had conveyed to Honorable Nation the truth of the facts of the battery and my being hospitalized. Until I did in 2008 during my Pro Se hearing in the presence and open court room of Honorable Nation. Later on following to work closely with Attorney Matt Ledbetter of Covington who devoted his life to making certain my relationship with my youngest daughter was fully restored as he accomplished this in the courtroom. I will be forever indebted to him for his devotion, care and concern of me and my youngest daughter as Honorable Nation had already years prior told Mr. Sasser that I could have any and all contact with the three older girls that we so chose to in open court with his family and my girls present.

Or how about our entire last year spent together was at my place of employment as a contract paralegal and leasing office manager and that each and every weekend our lives were spent together at the field with the GA FORCE and recorded and could have been used to our full advantage as Mr. Sasser never spent one minute of that least year with us. I was forced to take them to work with me where they were allowed to have birthday parties with The GA Force and cheer with the cheerleaders on the field and meet all the families.

The majority of these documents can be viewed at my Word Press account as I have saved and had them authenticated over the years.

How about how ripping overnight children away from a family violence victim causes great sadness, distress and trauma for many years to follow leaving the family violence victim even further raped. Including the rape of the children in the system.

Children need and deserve their very own attorney during the course of a divorce proceeding just as I had in Honorable Ozburn as my personal family law attorney in the 80’s in Honorable Costley’s courtroom in Newton County. CASA is NOT enough in the State of GA. This never should have happened to me and my children but between 3 incompetent attorney’s me and my children fell through the cracks of the system as no one cared enough to help us until I filed my Pro Se case and retained Esquire Matt Ledbetter.
